Questions Ahead of the event

When is the RSVP deadline?

We kindly request your RSVP by May 1, 2024 so we can have an accurate headcount.

Can I bring a +1?

Absolutely! Please RSVP to reflect whether you will be bringing a guest.

Are kids welcome?

As much as we love your little ones, we will not be including them in the ceremony or reception.

What is the dress code?

Dress Code is Formal Attire. (I.e Come dressed as fine as we know you are! Gowns, suits, tuxedos, fly jumpsuit, etc.) Any questions about the nature of this please feel free to email Nicole at Crowder.nicole@gmail.com

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Our wedding ceremony will be outdoors in a private garden with lots of shade, and the cocktail hour and dinner reception will take place indoors. Both are on the same site so you can flow in and out at your leisure.

Will the ceremony be unplugged?

No. We want you all to capture as much of the day as you’d like.

Will the bar be open or cash?

We will have a fully open bar throughout the event! We’re so grateful that you have taken the time to travel to celebrate us, and we want to make sure you enjoy the libations throughout the evening. We are also incredibly excited to be featuring liquors exclusively by our friends of the Black-owned and Minnesota-based distillery DuNord, the first Black owned distillery in the United States. We will also have wine, beer and non alcoholic selections throughout the evening.

Will the food throughout the event accommodate vegetarian and vegan diets?

Absolutely. Food served at cocktail hour and the reception dinner will feature meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan diets, as well as accommodate any individual food allergies/restrictions.

Are the ceremony and reception locations wheelchair accessible?

Yes. The back side entrance of the venue in the garden has a ramp, and the wedding will be taking place on one level.

What kind of shoes should I wear?

Heels/Dress Shoes/ flats if you feel fly in them! The ceremony will be taking place on the grass in the garden, but the rest is indoors. Sandals will be provided in case they are needed during dancing at the reception.

What will the weather be like?

In July the weather is beautiful here. Anticipate average days of 80° during the day. The wedding ceremony will be held outdoors under an awning of trees for shade, but the remaining festivities will be indoors. And you will have the option to go back and forth between being inside or out throughout the evening.

This is my first time in Minnesota. Are there many interesting things to do?

So many! Mike and I have curated a list of our favorite restaurants, brunch spots, bars, breweries, shops, landmarks, and fun things to see across the Twin Cities on the "Twin Cities To-Do" page for you. There is also a major music festival happening the same weekend as our wedding.

Should I drive or Uber?

There is plentiful free street parking surrounding the entrance of our venue on beautiful Summit Ave. It's a quiet street with plentiful side street parking as well. But you are also encouraged to Uber/Lyft or carpool. The parking spaces on the venue property itself are dedicated for our vendors and family who are helping with the event. We just ask you not park in the driveway in front of the venue door. But absolutely use the driveway for when your rideshare is dropping you off!

If I am unable to attend, is there a gift registry or honeymoon fund I can contribute to?

Absolutely! While we will sorely miss you in attendance, we love that you still want to contribute to our new chapter together. You can find our honeymoon fund here.
